The Role of Sleep in Longevity & Cellular Rejuvenation with Hyperbaric Medicine
Recent research underscores sleep's vital role in maintaining physiological and cognitive health throughout aging. Sleep is not merely a passive state; it is an active process essential for:
Detoxification and toxin clearance through the glymphatic system
Regulation of systemic inflammation and oxidative stress
Cellular repair and tissue regeneration
Memory consolidation and neuroplasticity
Immune function optimization
In addition, the integration of Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (HBOT) offers a promising modality for enhancing the regenerative processes during sleep, supporting tissue repair, and improving cognitive function, particularly in aging populations. This presentation will explore the intersection of sleep science and advanced therapies to promote healthy aging and optimize cognitive outcomes across the lifespan.

CPD: Harnessing AI and Machine Learning to Transform Clinical Practice
Description: This session will explore the dynamic intersection of artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML) with modern clinical practice. Attendees will gain insights into how these technologies are reshaping diagnostics, treatment planning, and patient management. The talk will cover real-world case studies, practical integration strategies, and the challenges—including ethical and regulatory considerations—that come with implementing AI/ML in healthcare settings. Participants will leave with a deeper understanding of how to leverage data-driven tools to enhance clinical decision-making and improve patient outcomes.
Learning Outcomes:
Understand Language Model Fundamentals: Grasp the core concepts of artificial intelligence and machine learning and their relevance to clinical environments.
Identify Practical Applications: Recognize key applications of AI/ML in diagnostics, personalized treatment plans, and predictive analytics within healthcare.
Evaluate Benefits and Challenges: Analyze the benefits, limitations, and ethical considerations of integrating AI/ML into clinical practice.
Implement Integration Strategies: Learn actionable strategies for incorporating AI/ML tools into existing clinical workflows to drive innovation and improve patient care.

The Ethics, Narratives, and Future of Psychedelic Medicine
Description: I will discuss my 15 years of experience initiating psychedelic research in Australia, my involvement in that research and my current work as an Authorised Psychiatric Prescriber of psychedelic medicines in Australia.
I will particularly focus on my research using psychedelics for non-therapeutic purposes - namely the development of well being using, in particular nature relatedness and positive aesthetics.
I will present my current therapeutic model based on the careful selection of subjects most likely to respond to a psychedelic experience, the importance of a beautiful and natural setting for the experience and for the development of a positive mind set, and the imaginative and meditative techniques I use to support this process.

CPD: Harnessing AI and Machine Learning to Transform Clinical Practice
Description: This talk will delve into the framework of clinical governance that governs the safe and effective dispensation of peptide therapies in Australia. It will outline the regulatory landscape, quality assurance protocols, and best practice guidelines that clinicians and pharmacists must follow. Emphasis will be placed on ensuring patient safety, maintaining compliance with national standards, and navigating the complexities of peptide-based treatments. Real-world examples and case studies will illustrate how robust governance frameworks can facilitate the responsible use of peptide therapies in clinical settings.
Learning Outcomes:
Understand Regulatory Frameworks: Gain a clear understanding of the current regulations and standards governing peptide dispensation in Australia.
Learn Best Practice Guidelines: Identify best practices and quality assurance measures that ensure safe, effective, and ethical peptide use in clinical settings.
Apply Clinical Governance Principles: Develop the ability to implement clinical governance strategies that manage risk and enhance patient safety in the context of peptide therapies.
Evaluate Real-World Scenarios: Analyze case studies and practical examples to understand common challenges and effective solutions in peptide dispensation.
